Meme passed away June 11th. She had gotten pneumonia a few days before and wasn’t able to recover. She was 92 and passed away exactly 25 years after her mom.
I dreamed the night she passed that Meme was a like a child running swiftly through a golden field in bright light and her parents came out and she ran as fast as she could to them then they walked the rest of the field together.
It gave me such peace in her passing. It made me realize the love between a parent and child or even family never dies. There is a heaven with no more death and sadness. I’m glad Meme isn’t suffering any more.
I remember her taking me to Service Merchandise to buy me my first diamond ring. She bought me a watch. She always encouraged my paper doll habit. She bought us back to school clothes and loved seeing us happy. She was love and comfort and always had a twinkle in her eye.
I will always carry her with me and so grateful Olivia and Benjamin have pictures of them with her.
